He is Salah bin Muhammad al-Badir, a reciter, imam, and preacher of the Prophet’s Mosque. He was born in January of the year (1390 AH/1970 AD) in the city of Hofuf in the Al-Ahsa Governorate of Saudi Arabia.
At the end of Shaban 1444 AH (March 2023 AD), he obtained a doctorate from the Department of Islamic Studies at King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa in the Doctorate of Jurisprudence program. With an excellent grade, and the title of his dissertation is (Al-Taysir lima’ani al-Jami’ al-Kabir by Ali bin Khalil bin Ali al-Dimashqi al-Hanafi).
Salah Al-Badir was appointed as an imam first in the city of Dammam and then in Riyadh, before he became in 1419 AH an imam and preacher in the Prophet’s Mosque. He worked as a judge in the Court of Appeal in Medina, and gives Islamic lectures on various religious topics. He also recorded tapes and CDs collecting his recitation of the Holy Qur’an. Several radio stations, television channels, and websites broadcast his Qur’anic chanting.
