Story Details: Prophethood in Calmness
Unlike many Prophets who faced entirely rejecting peoples, Al-Yasa came after the destruction of the polytheists who worshipped Baal. His mission was to continue calling the righteous believers among them and establishing them, and to work on manifesting Monotheism among the Children of Israel.
The Good Mention
The Qur'an does not detail his story and miracles as it did for the Prophets who faced rejecting peoples. Instead, God sufficed with mentioning his name and praising him, including him among the chosen and excellent ones (Al-Akhyar), which indicates his righteousness and the purity of his prophetic mission.
Al-Yasa is an example of Divine favor upon the Prophets who were not confronted by entire nations of disbelief. His life was a model of quiet reform and spiritual excellence.
