سُورَةُ الذَّارِيَاتِ
وَٱلذَّٰرِيَٰتِ ذَرۡوٗا ١
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing
Waththariyati tharwa
فَٱلۡحَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقۡرٗا ٢
And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water]
Falhamilati wiqra
فَٱلۡجَٰرِيَٰتِ يُسۡرٗا ٣
And those [ships] sailing with ease
Faljariyati yusra
فَٱلۡمُقَسِّمَٰتِ أَمۡرًا ٤
And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter,
Falmuqassimati amra
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٞ ٥
Indeed, what you are promised is true.
Innama tooAAadoona lasadiq
وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٞ ٦
And indeed, the recompense is to occur.
Wainna addeena lawaqiAA
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡحُبُكِ ٧
By the heaven containing pathways,
Wassamai thati alhubuk
إِنَّكُمۡ لَفِي قَوۡلٖ مُّخۡتَلِفٖ ٨
Indeed, you are in differing speech.
Innakum lafee qawlin mukhtalif
يُؤۡفَكُ عَنۡهُ مَنۡ أُفِكَ ٩
Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded.
Yufaku AAanhu man ofik
قُتِلَ ٱلۡخَرَّٰصُونَ ١٠
Destroyed are the falsifiers
Qutila alkharrasoon
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ فِي غَمۡرَةٖ سَاهُونَ ١١
Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless.
Allatheena hum fee ghamratin sahoon
يَسۡـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ ١٢
They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?"
Yasaloona ayyana yawmu addeen
يَوۡمَ هُمۡ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفۡتَنُونَ ١٣
[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire
Yawma hum AAala annari yuftanoon
ذُوقُواْ فِتۡنَتَكُمۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ ١٤
[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient."
Thooqoo fitnatakum hatha allathee kuntum bihi tastaAAjiloon
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍ ١٥
Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs,
Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin waAAuyoon
ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَبۡلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحۡسِنِينَ ١٦
Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good.
Akhitheena ma atahum rabbuhum innahum kanoo qabla thalika muhsineen
كَانُواْ قَلِيلٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ مَا يَهۡجَعُونَ ١٧
They used to sleep but little of the night,
Kanoo qaleelan mina allayli ma yahjaAAoon
وَبِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِ هُمۡ يَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ ١٨
And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness,
Wabilashari hum yastaghfiroon
وَفِيٓ أَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ حَقّٞ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِ ١٩
And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived.
Wafee amwalihim haqqun lissaili walmahroom
وَفِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ءَايَٰتٞ لِّلۡمُوقِنِينَ ٢٠
And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]
Wafee alardi ayatun lilmooqineen
وَفِيٓ أَنفُسِكُمۡۚ أَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُونَ ٢١
And in yourselves. Then will you not see?
Wafee anfusikum afala tubsiroon
وَفِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزۡقُكُمۡ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ ٢٢
And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised.
Wafee assamai rizqukum wama tooAAadoon
فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقّٞ مِّثۡلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمۡ تَنطِقُونَ ٢٣
Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking.
Fawarabbi assamai walardi innahu lahaqqun mithla ma annakum tantiqoon
هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيۡفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ ٱلۡمُكۡرَمِينَ ٢٤
Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? -
Hal ataka hadeethu dayfi ibraheema almukrameen
إِذۡ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيۡهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗاۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمٞ قَوۡمٞ مُّنكَرُونَ ٢٥
When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown.
Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloo salaman qala salamun qawmun munkaroon
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجۡلٖ سَمِينٖ ٢٦
Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf
Faragha ila ahlihi fajaa biAAijlin sameen
فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيۡهِمۡ قَالَ أَلَا تَأۡكُلُونَ ٢٧
And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?"
Faqarrabahu ilayhim qala ala takuloon
فَأَوۡجَسَ مِنۡهُمۡ خِيفَةٗۖ قَالُواْ لَا تَخَفۡۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٖ ٢٨
And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy.
Faawjasa minhum kheefatan qaloo la takhaf wabashsharoohu bighulamin AAaleem
فَأَقۡبَلَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ فِي صَرَّةٖ فَصَكَّتۡ وَجۡهَهَا وَقَالَتۡ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٞ ٢٩
And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!"
Faaqbalati imraatuhu fee sarratin fasakkat wajhaha waqalat AAajoozun AAaqeem
قَالُواْ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ ٣٠
They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing."
Qaloo kathaliki qala rabbuki innahu huwa alhakeemu alAAaleem
۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ ٣١
[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"
Qala fama khatbukum ayyuha almursaloon
قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ مُّجۡرِمِينَ ٣٢
They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals
Qaloo inna orsilna ila qawmin mujrimeen
لِنُرۡسِلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن طِينٖ ٣٣
To send down upon them stones of clay,
Linursila AAalayhim hijaratan min teen
مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ ٣٤
Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors."
Musawwamatan AAinda rabbika lilmusrifeen
فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ٣٥
So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers.
Faakhrajna man kana feeha mina almumineen
فَمَا وَجَدۡنَا فِيهَا غَيۡرَ بَيۡتٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ ٣٦
And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims.
Fama wajadna feeha ghayra baytin mina almuslimeen
وَتَرَكۡنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةٗ لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِيمَ ٣٧
And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.
Watarakna feeha ayatan lillatheena yakhafoona alAAathaba alaleem
وَفِي مُوسَىٰٓ إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٖ ٣٨
And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority.
Wafee moosa ith arsanahu ila firAAawna bisultanin mubeen
فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكۡنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَٰحِرٌ أَوۡ مَجۡنُونٞ ٣٩
But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman."
Fatawalla biruknihi waqala sahirun aw majnoon
فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذۡنَٰهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٞ ٤٠
So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy.
Faakhathnahu wajunoodahu fanabathnahum fee alyammi wahuwa muleem
وَفِي عَادٍ إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلۡعَقِيمَ ٤١
And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind.
Wafee AAadin ith arsalna AAalayhimu arreeha alAAaqeem
مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَيۡءٍ أَتَتۡ عَلَيۡهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتۡهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ ٤٢
It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins.
Ma tatharu min shayin atat AAalayhi illa jaAAalathu karrameem
وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذۡ قِيلَ لَهُمۡ تَمَتَّعُواْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٖ ٤٣
And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time."
Wafee thamooda ith qeela lahum tamattaAAoo hatta heen
فَعَتَوۡاْ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمۡ يَنظُرُونَ ٤٤
But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on.
FaAAataw AAan amri rabbihim faakhathathumu assaAAiqatu wahum yanthuroon
فَمَا ٱسۡتَطَٰعُواْ مِن قِيَامٖ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُنتَصِرِينَ ٤٥
And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves.
Fama istataAAoo min qiyamin wama kanoo muntasireen
وَقَوۡمَ نُوحٖ مِّن قَبۡلُۖ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَوۡمٗا فَٰسِقِينَ ٤٦
And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient.
Waqawma noohin min qablu innahum kanoo qawman fasiqeen
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيۡنَٰهَا بِأَيۡيْدٖ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ ٤٧
And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander.
Wassamaa banaynaha biaydin wainna lamoosiAAoon
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ فَرَشۡنَٰهَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡمَٰهِدُونَ ٤٨
And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer.
Walarda farashnaha faniAAma almahidoon
وَمِن كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقۡنَا زَوۡجَيۡنِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُونَ ٤٩
And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember.
Wamin kulli shayin khalaqna zawjayni laAAallakum tathakkaroon
فَفِرُّوٓاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنۡهُ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞ ٥٠
So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.
Fafirroo ila Allahi innee lakum minhu natheerun mubeen
وَلَا تَجۡعَلُواْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنۡهُ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞ ٥١
And do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.
Wala tajAAaloo maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara innee lakum minhu natheerun mubeen
كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُواْ سَاحِرٌ أَوۡ مَجۡنُونٌ ٥٢
Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman."
Kathalika ma ata allatheena min qablihim min rasoolin illa qaloo sahirun aw majnoon
أَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِهِۦۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٞ طَاغُونَ ٥٣
Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people.
Atawasaw bihi bal hum qawmun taghoon
فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٖ ٥٤
So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed.
Fatawalla AAanhum fama anta bimaloom
وَذَكِّرۡ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ٥٥
And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.
Wathakkir fainna aththikra tanfaAAu almumineen
وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ ٱلۡجِنَّ وَٱلۡإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُونِ ٥٦
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.
Wama khalaqtu aljinna walinsa illa liyaAAbudoon
مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنۡهُم مِّن رِّزۡقٖ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطۡعِمُونِ ٥٧
I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me.
Ma oreedu minhum min rizqin wama oreedu an yutAAimoon
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلۡقُوَّةِ ٱلۡمَتِينُ ٥٨
Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength.
Inna Allaha huwa arrazzaqu thoo alquwwati almateen
فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ذَنُوبٗا مِّثۡلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصۡحَٰبِهِمۡ فَلَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُونِ ٥٩
And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me.
Fainna lillatheena thalamoo thanooban mithla thanoobi ashabihim fala yastaAAjiloon
فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن يَوۡمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ ٦٠
And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised.
Fawaylun lillatheena kafaroo min yawmihimu allathee yooAAadoon
