سُورَةُ الفَجۡرِ

رقمها ٨٩ عدد آياتها ٣٠

وَٱلۡفَجۡرِ ١

By the dawn

Saheeh International

Walfajr

Transliteration

وَلَيَالٍ عَشۡرٖ ٢

And [by] ten nights

Saheeh International

Walayalin AAashr

Transliteration

وَٱلشَّفۡعِ وَٱلۡوَتۡرِ ٣

And [by] the even [number] and the odd

Saheeh International

WashshafAAi walwatr

Transliteration

وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا يَسۡرِ ٤

And [by] the night when it passes,

Saheeh International

Wallayli itha yasr

Transliteration

هَلۡ فِي ذَٰلِكَ قَسَمٞ لِّذِي حِجۡرٍ ٥

Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception?

Saheeh International

Hal fee thalika qasamun lithee hijr

Transliteration

أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ ٦

Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad -

Saheeh International

Alam tara kayfa faAAala rabbuka biAAad

Transliteration

إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلۡعِمَادِ ٧

[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars,

Saheeh International

Irama thati alAAimad

Transliteration

ٱلَّتِي لَمۡ يُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ ٨

The likes of whom had never been created in the land?

Saheeh International

Allatee lam yukhlaq mithluha fee albilad

Transliteration

وَثَمُودَ ٱلَّذِينَ جَابُواْ ٱلصَّخۡرَ بِٱلۡوَادِ ٩

And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley?

Saheeh International

Wathamooda allatheena jaboo assakhra bilwad

Transliteration

وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ ذِي ٱلۡأَوۡتَادِ ١٠

And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes? -

Saheeh International

WafirAAawna thee alawtad

Transliteration

ٱلَّذِينَ طَغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ ١١

[All of] whom oppressed within the lands

Saheeh International

Allatheena taghaw fee albilad

Transliteration

فَأَكۡثَرُواْ فِيهَا ٱلۡفَسَادَ ١٢

And increased therein the corruption.

Saheeh International

Faaktharoo feeha alfasad

Transliteration

فَصَبَّ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّكَ سَوۡطَ عَذَابٍ ١٣

So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment.

Saheeh International

Fasabba AAalayhim rabbuka sawta AAathab

Transliteration

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِٱلۡمِرۡصَادِ ١٤

Indeed, your Lord is in observation.

Saheeh International

Inna rabbaka labilmirsad

Transliteration

فَأَمَّا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَأَكۡرَمَهُۥ وَنَعَّمَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّيٓ أَكۡرَمَنِ ١٥

And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me."

Saheeh International

Faamma alinsanu itha ma ibtalahu rabbuhu faakramahu wanaAAAAamahu fayaqoolu rabbee akraman

Transliteration

وَأَمَّآ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيۡهِ رِزۡقَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّيٓ أَهَٰنَنِ ١٦

But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me."

Saheeh International

Waamma itha ma ibtalahu faqadara AAalayhi rizqahu fayaqoolu rabbee ahanan

Transliteration

كـَلَّاۖ بَل لَّا تُكۡرِمُونَ ٱلۡيَتِيمَ ١٧

No! But you do not honor the orphan

Saheeh International

Kalla bal la tukrimoona alyateem

Transliteration

وَلَا تَحَٰٓضُّونَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِ ١٨

And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor.

Saheeh International

Wala tahaddoona AAala taAAami almiskeen

Transliteration

وَتَأۡكُلُونَ ٱلتُّرَاثَ أَكۡلٗا لَّمّٗا ١٩

And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether,

Saheeh International

Watakuloona atturatha aklan lamma

Transliteration

وَتُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡمَالَ حُبّٗا جَمّٗا ٢٠

And you love wealth with immense love.

Saheeh International

Watuhibboona almala hubban jamma

Transliteration

كـَلَّآۖ إِذَا دُكَّتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ دَكّٗا دَكّٗا ٢١

No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed -

Saheeh International

Kalla itha dukkati alardu dakkan dakka

Transliteration

وَجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَٱلۡمَلَكُ صَفّٗا صَفّٗا ٢٢

And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank,

Saheeh International

Wajaa rabbuka walmalaku saffan saffa

Transliteration

وَجِاْيٓءَ يَوۡمَئِذِۭ بِجَهَنَّمَۚ يَوۡمَئِذٖ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ ٢٣

And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance?

Saheeh International

Wajeea yawmaithin bijahannama yawmaithin yatathakkaru alinsanu waanna lahu aththikra

Transliteration

يَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي قَدَّمۡتُ لِحَيَاتِي ٢٤

He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life."

Saheeh International

Yaqoolu ya-laytanee qaddamtu lihayatee

Transliteration

فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُۥٓ أَحَدٞ ٢٥

So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment,

Saheeh International

Fayawmaithin la yuAAaththibu AAathabahu ahad

Transliteration

وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُۥٓ أَحَدٞ ٢٦

And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers].

Saheeh International

Wala yoothiqu wathaqahu ahad

Transliteration

يَٰٓأَيَّتُهَا ٱلنَّفۡسُ ٱلۡمُطۡمَئِنَّةُ ٢٧

[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul,

Saheeh International

Ya-ayyatuha annafsu almutmainna

Transliteration

ٱرۡجِعِيٓ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةٗ مَّرۡضِيَّةٗ ٢٨

Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him],

Saheeh International

IrjiAAee ila rabbiki radiyatan mardiyya

Transliteration

فَٱدۡخُلِي فِي عِبَٰدِي ٢٩

And enter among My [righteous] servants

Saheeh International

Fadkhulee fee AAibadee

Transliteration

وَٱدۡخُلِي جَنَّتِي ٣٠

And enter My Paradise."

Saheeh International

Wadkhulee jannatee

Transliteration
