Surah Al-Fatihah: The Essence of the Quran
Surah Al-Fatihah is the first chapter of the Holy Quran and the greatest surah, uniquely granted to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Revealed in Makkah, it serves as The Great Quran given to the Prophet ﷺ. As the opening chapter, it encompasses the core objectives of Islam and all forms of Divine Oneness (Lordship, Worship, and Names & Attributes).

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Bismi Allahi arrahmani arraheem
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ٢
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds -
Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameen
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٣
The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,
Arrahmani arraheem
مَٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ ٤
Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.
Maliki yawmi addeen
إِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِينُ ٥
It is You we worship and You we ask for help.
Iyyaka naAAbudu waiyyaka nastaAAeen
ٱهۡدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ ٦
Guide us to the straight path -
Ihdina assirata almustaqeem
صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غَيۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ٧
The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.
Sirata allatheena anAAamta AAalayhim ghayri almaghdoobi AAalayhim wala addalleen
