Story Details: Birth, Trustworthiness, and the Meccan Phases
He ﷺ was born an orphan and was cared for by his grandfather and then his uncle, and was known as The Trustworthy (Al-Sadiq Al-Amin) for his impeccable character and absolute truthfulness. He was sent with the message, and the first divine command was to Read. His call continued in Mecca for 13 years, characterized by a secret phase then a public phase, during which the first Muslims faced all kinds of torture (such as the story of Bilal and Sumayya). After losing his uncle and wife in the Year of Sorrow, the journey of Al-Israa and Al-Miraj occurred to represent divine moral support for him before the great shift.
The Medina Phase: Migration, Legislation, and Empowerment
The Hijra (Prophetic Migration) was the dawn of a new era, as Islam transformed from an individual call into an organized state. The phase of legislation and establishing the foundations of society began, in addition to defensive Jihad (such as the battles of Badr, Uhud, and the Trench) to repel the aggressions of Quraish and the Jews. Then came the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, in which Quraish acknowledged the Islamic power, followed by the Conquest of Mecca, which established comprehensive peace. The religion was completed entirely before his death during the Farewell Pilgrimage.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the best role model (Uswah Hasanah), and the faith of a Muslim is incomplete without following him. His story is proof that victory and empowerment come after great patience and struggle.
