Al-Ma'un The Small kindnesses

سُورَةُ المَاعُونِ

﷽

رقمها ١٠٧ عدد آياتها ٧

أَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ ١

Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?

Araayta allathee yukaththibu biddeen

فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِي يَدُعُّ ٱلۡيَتِيمَ ٢

For that is the one who drives away the orphan

Fathalika allathee yaduAAAAu alyateem

وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِ ٣

And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

Wala yahuddu AAala taAAami almiskeen

فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلۡمُصَلِّينَ ٤

So woe to those who pray

Fawaylun lilmusalleen

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَن صَلَاتِهِمۡ سَاهُونَ ٥

[But] who are heedless of their prayer -

Allatheena hum AAan salatihim sahoon

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ يُرَآءُونَ ٦

Those who make show [of their deeds]

Allatheena hum yuraoon

وَيَمۡنَعُونَ ٱلۡمَاعُونَ ٧

And withhold [simple] assistance.

WayamnaAAoona almaAAoon
