Story Details: The Conspiracy and Chastity

The story began with a vision Yusuf saw, in which he saw eleven stars and the sun and the moon prostrating to him. After that, his brothers gathered and plotted against him out of envy, and they threw him into the bottom of the well. Then some travelers (Sayyarah) found him and sold him as a slave. He settled in the house of the Aziz (Vizier) of Egypt, and there he faced the Great Temptation from the Aziz's wife, but he preferred prison over committing immorality, saying: ﴾رَبِّ ٱلسِّجۡنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا يَدۡعُونَنِيٓ إِلَيۡهِِۖ﴿ (My Lord, prison is more to my liking than that to which they invite me).

The Prison and Empowerment

In prison, Yusuf used his talent for dream interpretation to call the prisoners to Monotheism. After years, he interpreted the King's vision, which revealed his innocence and led to his release from prison. When he asked the King to make him the Minister of the Treasury (Aziz of Egypt), he managed the economic crisis with high efficiency, proving himself to be an established leader and a wise minister.

Fulfillment of the Vision and Forgiveness

The story concluded with the reunion of the family, when his brothers came to him seeking aid. Yusuf revealed his identity and forgave them with beautiful forgiveness: ﴾قَالَ لَا تَثۡرِيبَ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَۖ يَغۡفِرُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡۖ وَهُوَ أَرۡحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَََ﴿ (No blame will there be upon you today. May Allah forgive you; and He is the most merciful of the merciful). The vision was fulfilled when his parents and brothers prostrated to him.
